It was another wonderfully exhilitarating evening at the 2014 District Creative Use of Technology Awards Gala in Miramichi on Wendesday March, 19th. Elsipogtog school was represented by two stellar technology based projects. In the category of Digital Video, Her Story by Alora Simon, Dara Sock,and Shirley Thomas was one of 7 Finalists across all grade levels (Kindergarten to Grade 12). This was the second nomination for the girls, with last year's video project When She Cries, taking home the 2013 CUTE Award. Although the video did not win, it was a great honour to receive the recognition. Such a wonderful effort girls!In the 21st Century Learning (Elementary) Category the Letting You Go Butteryfly Project, a collaborative effort between Mrs. Redmond's Grade 2 (2012-2013) and Ms. Adourian's Grade 7 class was once of 6 Finalists. Our butterfly project took home the award! Congratulations to all the students and staff who helped to make this project memorable for more than just the students involved. Jenna Sock and Mrs. Redmond represented the Grade 2 Class, and Shirley Thomas, Dara Sock, Alora Simon and Ms. Adourian represented the Grade 7's. Principal Simon and family members were there to show support for our students!
